Bikool V2 – Electric bike rental with PrestaShop 1.7

The Project

The Bikool project is unusual, using the PrestaShop CMS to offer online product rental and manage the reservation of electric bikes throughout France. The site was already developed on PrestaShop 1.6, so this involved a migration from PrestaShop 1.6 to 1.7.

Our Service

To facilitate content management for the site, including its homepage, pages, and detailed product descriptions, we integrated Elementor, a powerful and user-friendly page builder. Combined with several other modules, such as the Creative Slider module, the entire turnkey site can be easily updated by our client.

For product rentals, the MyOwnReservation module from Labulle was used. It allows you to create category-based reservation rules, which was used to manage Bikool’s various partners/rental points that provide equipment to their customers. Each rental location has different opening hours and must receive an email when booking requests are received. Additionally, each partner may wish to set up discounts with preferential rates. The Labulle Myownreservation module allows for this.
