Eurolam is a French company based in Thiers, the historic birthplace of cutlery. For a number of years, it has specialised in the sale of professional kitchen knives, aimed at chefs, culinary training establishments and gastronomy enthusiasts.
What sets Eurolam apart is its commitment to quality, ergonomics and durability. Each knife offered is selected to meet the requirements of professionals, while being accessible to the general public. With this dual target – B2C and B2B – the company needed an e-commerce platform to match its ambitions, capable of reflecting its upmarket image while offering a fluid, personalised user experience.
In 2020, when Eurolam entrusted us with the redesign of its e-commerce site, the challenge was clear: to modernise an ageing PrestaShop 1.6 shop, while providing greater flexibility, performance and simpler day-to-day management.
We therefore carried out a complete migration to PrestaShop 1.7, rethinking the technical architecture, user experience and graphical interface. One of Eurolam’s major needs was to better manage the segmentation of its customer base.
We therefore set up a multi-store configuration using PrestaShop 1.7, enabling two distinct channels to be exploited: a B2C shop for private customers and a B2B shop dedicated to professionals and cookery schools. Each shop has its own content, prices, ordering conditions and customised navigation, while being managed from a centralised interface.
The graphic redesign was one of the pillars of the project. The aim was to visually convey the quality and professionalism of the brand, while ensuring a fluid and intuitive user experience. We created a bespoke design that was modern, streamlined and fully responsive, ensuring optimal navigation on both mobile and desktop devices.
To give the Eurolam team a high degree of autonomy in managing their content, we integrated the Creative Elements module (page builder), which allows them to create, modify and structure product, category and editorial pages simply and intuitively, without any technical skills.
